Wall stencil in the girl’s bedroomMart 20, 2021
We moved to a new house this winter that is hundreds of miles from our previous home. As we got used to a new city, family, friends, and church, I knew I wanted to create a fun bedroom for my daughter so that she would be comfortable in our new life.
The room was beige gray and needed paint for a four year old girl! Together we decided that pink would be fun with a dash of purple!
I drew some patterns on their wall and stared at them for weeks in different lighting conditions. I was finally ready to paint! I painted three walls in the room light pink and one accent wall a fun purple.
It was definitely brighter and fun, but it wasn’t the pop and life I was hoping for. I decided I had to stencil the purple wall and picked out a fun one from Royal Design Studio Stencils to do the job!
I used gold as my stencil accent color and I love how it turned out!
It’s the perfect splash of fun and pattern, but subtle enough that my eyes aren’t exhausted staring at it!
Painting is such a cheap way to add color and life to a room! You can see more images of this room on my blog spoonfulofimagination.com
