Stenciling a staircase | HometalkMart 22, 2021
The stenciled stairs give the entrance a polished look. In about an hour I was able to turn plain white stairs into something special!
The finished project …
A blank canvas … the perfect starting point for stencils.
I like to use more than one color when stenciling. It gives the finished design a mottled look. I also like to use a little metallic paint because it is great at absorbing light. I chose taupe, midnight blue, and metallic gold.
I like to use frog tape to secure the stencil, a small brush, and cotton swabs to remove messy lines.
Use a small amount of paint to fill in the stencil. – My paint bush is almost dry … but that works best with stenciling.
Results are quick and drying time is short because so little paint is used.
