Shabby chic plaster of paris Easter eggsMart 21, 2021
I found some inexpensive plaster of paris eggs in the dollar store as part of a painting kit. Instead of using the colors, I used some of my own craft supplies to give them a more neutral shabby chic look and to use them year after year in my Easter decor.
If pastel colors, bunnies and chicks are not your style for Easter crafts and decor, this look can be achieved very easily and inexpensively.
This was what was in the original kit. I kept the paints and brushes in a craft store to use another time.
Instead, I used jute twine, flower stalks, and white glue to embellish the simple plaster of paris eggs. I left the wire hanger on top (in case I decide to hang the eggs at some point) but removed the neon green thread that came with them.
A small Spanish moss in an etched glass bowl is a lovely place to display the eggs for the entire spring season. See what it looks like as part of our family room decor http://bit.ly/1Beo04D
