How to clean your garbage disposal

Mart 20, 2021 0 Yazar: admin

With all of the recipe tests we do in our kitchen, we’re sure to mess up a lot and have some interesting smells from the garbage disposal – ha! Now that it’s officially spring it’s time to jump in for some spring cleaning !! Here’s a trick I saw that smells simple, quick, and great !!

  • sliced citrus fruits (lemons, limes, oranges)
  • distilled white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • Cupcake Tray

Cut your fruit into small bite-sized pieces. Then fill each cup in your tray with fruit and fill in vinegar just below the line. Freeze Time! Leave the tray in the freezer for 24 hours. The next day, take out a cube (no, don’t eat it!) And run some water into your sink. Pour half a cup of baking soda into the sink and slowly drip water as you toss your cube in. (It should bubble a little!) Then grind away and smell that freshness! This even helps with sharpening blades !! (Tip ** If you want to keep these cubes in a ziploc in the freezer, be sure to label them so someone doesn’t believe they are ice cubes!)
